We just returned from a 3 night stay at Quarnford Lodge for my partners 30th surprise birthday. I visited the house a few months before and knew that this place would be perfect for the party. It was a family occasions so we had plenty of children with us. The pool table and tables tennis table was in constant use. The kids loved it. We also took an Xbox and hooked it up in the snug. The house was lovely and hot all the time but we couldn't resist putting some logs on the burner. It added a lovely cosy feeling to the room. All of the bedrooms were lovely and warm and the beds were comfy. The showers were also lovely and hot all of the time. The kitchen is also fantastic and became a gathering point for adults later on at night! The house has no neighbours so this was fantastic as we could party the night away without disturbing others around. This will truly be a weekend to remember and we hope to return again. Many thanks!

We returned from Quarnford lodge yesterday - leaving the flat Bedfordshire countryside behind us to head for the Peaks! 22 of us in total, 13 adults and 9 children - 13 of us are experiencing calf ache from the hill walking ;-) We used this rental to come together to celebrate my husband & I's 20th wedding anniversary. The childrens ages ranged from 0 to 12 and were well catered for. Pool table saw 12 hour use, table tennis & a TV in the snug was where the PS4 was plugged into and the lounge area perfect space for the adults to chill out by the lovely fire. The lodge was always warm, every room inviting. Bed linen/bedrooms and en suites very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil and pan going to help us cook. The 2 dogs that stayed were well behaved and a secure back garden was a bonus, as they were able to be let out unsupervised. The kids loved exploring and playing hide and seek and even us adults had a game, which was funnier than I ever remember especially the panic of hiding under a bunk bed and realising that you are 40 and might not be able to get out! We had a lovely walk on Sunday, up the road that runs along the side of the house to find the mermaid pool - no such luck, but none the less, a lovely circular walk in the brisk autumn weather. We visited Buxton town and Poole Cavern - which wasn't particularly brilliant - mainly because we had to take the kids away from the pool table and so they weren't happy to start with, but interesting none-the-less. We would definitely like to come back again. No complaints from any guest.

Lovely place to relax with family and friends. Buxton is only 10 minutes down the road if you want to venture out and do a bit of shopping and stock up. We went to the Knights Table pub which is a few minutes walk up the road very friendly and could highly recommend the Sunday lunch and very reasonably priced. The lodge itself provided us with plenty to do from table tennis and a pool table for the lads karaoke at night and plenty of games for the children. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and a superb dining area. All in all a great time was had by us all. Thank you.

We've just returned from my daughters hen party weekend at Quarnford Lodge. The venue was perfect for us, the rooms were all en suite and it was equipped with everything we needed. Pete & Marie were really helpful and made booking so easy and the manager (sorry forgot his name) who let us in was really friendly. We had caterers in for our evening meal The dinner party company and David was really helpful, the ladies who served us were brilliant and the food was delicious highly recommend them, and bonus, they washed up & left the kitchen spotless!! All in all a brilliant weekend! Thank you :)

Went to Quarnford Lodge this bank holiday weekend and it was amazing. Don't get me wrong, our weekend was made extra special by the friends we shared it with but in terms of the accommodation, amenities and nearby places to visit we couldn't go wrong! Fabulous base to an amazing area and I would advise anyone to take advantage of the lodge that is especially adaptive to young families and older folk too with spacious bedrooms on both levels. Dining together was ace in the huge dining area and the two snugs were fab with the kids in the now called 'movie room' and adults in the other. Great place and I must advise anyone to stay up and watch the sun rise. It happened at 4.52am on the first Saturday morning and it didn't leave us disappointed. Looking forward to our next booking!

I've just returned from a lovely and rewarding sojourn to Quarnford Lodge. I can't praise this place enough! I wanted a Stag weekend that avoided nightclubs or pub crawls and such. All I wanted was a large relaxing house, with my mates, guitars and everything at hand. From the moment myself and my 26 friends arrived until we left we had three full days of companionship that went above and beyond our expectations. There was more than enough space and comfort for all of us. A fully equipped kitchen to cater for us all and a lovely friendly pub only a hundred yards up the road that serves the best grub. You'd of thought after a day or two we'd of been getting tired of each other, but our time literally flew by! Amazing surroundings in a beautiful scenic area of England. All my entourage had the best time. Acoustic guitars, pool table, BBQ, trip to Buxton and so much more! I'm giving Quarnford Lodge full approval as it was everything I wanted and more. Owners Pete and Marie-Axelle were so easy to correspond with before and after our break and without doubt were a pleasure to deal with. Excellent

A group of 20 walkers spent 4 days at Quarnford. It's a brilliant place with plenty of kitchen room for everyone who, inevitably piled in all at once, to make packed lunches. There's a boot room to stack damp clothing and muddy boots. The hot water didn't run out even under the most severe testing when we all returned at the same time and headed for the showers. We were most impressed when we reported that one of the dishwashers wasn't working and found a new one installed the next day. Our contact was Mark who was friendly and helpful and responded immediately to any requests. We go on a walking holiday every year and this is by far the best place. A group of us visited the New Inn at Flash which doesn't serve food but is great for local beers. The Knight's Table at Quarnford catered for all of us. The staff were cheerful and friendly - good pub food, but not open on Monday and Tuesday. We also ate at The Royal Oak Inn at Longnor and The Lazy Trout near Leek. At both the food was excellent and can be well recommended. We walked The Roaches which was stunning and Dovedale which was beautiful but busy. We had a great holiday. Thanks Pete and Marie-Axelle you provided a great service and your house is perfect for our large group.
