We had a wonderful family weekend in a fabulous house for my husband’s 80th birthday. Even though all brochure pictures were true to the house it still surpassed our expectations! The size and space were incredible and we had all the comfort we needed. Incredibly well equipped! Thank you!!

Our group of 18 stayed here for a week's walking in the Peak District, and were really happy with the standard of accommodation at Quarnford Lodge. The kitchen was particularly well equipped with loads of crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. There are two lounges, so there was plenty of room for us all to relax, and the dining area was particularly spacious. All bedrooms had en suite which was great with a group of this size, and all were lovely and clean. Would definitely recommend for a group holiday and would like to visit again.

With 20 adults, 4 children and a dog we needed something special to cater for a family gathered from the corners of the globe to celebrate Dad's 80th Birthday and at Quarnford Lodge we found it. 10 en-suite bedrooms, great dining room and a lounge to take all, well appointed kitchen, some fab far reaching views across the rolling peak district and a 5 min walk to a great pub/restaurant. No complaints, nothing to deter from a wonderful family weekend party.

Myself and my uni friends and their families have been getting together this same weekend for the last 11 years. As our group has grown so have the houses we stay in and Quarnford was just right for us. Lovely family rooms, brilliant having an en-suite in all rooms bar one (which is literally just opposite). Lovely kitchen and good facilities. Loads of space for meal times so we could all eat together. 2 lounge / sofa areas so one for kids and all their toys. Beautiful setting and great location. The weekend of snow made it even more memorable. Thank you to Peter for making the booking process very straightforward. We hope to stay again.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Quarnford Lodge for my partners 30th surprise birthday. I visited the house a few months before and knew that this place would be perfect for the party. It was a family occasions so we had plenty of children with us. The pool table and tables tennis table was in constant use. The kids loved it. We also took an Xbox and hooked it up in the snug. The house was lovely and hot all the time but we couldn't resist putting some logs on the burner. It added a lovely cosy feeling to the room. All of the bedrooms were lovely and warm and the beds were comfy. The showers were also lovely and hot all of the time. The kitchen is also fantastic and became a gathering point for adults later on at night! The house has no neighbours so this was fantastic as we could party the night away without disturbing others around. This will truly be a weekend to remember and we hope to return again. Many thanks!

We returned from Quarnford lodge yesterday - leaving the flat Bedfordshire countryside behind us to head for the Peaks! 22 of us in total, 13 adults and 9 children - 13 of us are experiencing calf ache from the hill walking ;-) We used this rental to come together to celebrate my husband & I's 20th wedding anniversary. The childrens ages ranged from 0 to 12 and were well catered for. Pool table saw 12 hour use, table tennis & a TV in the snug was where the PS4 was plugged into and the lounge area perfect space for the adults to chill out by the lovely fire. The lodge was always warm, every room inviting. Bed linen/bedrooms and en suites very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil and pan going to help us cook. The 2 dogs that stayed were well behaved and a secure back garden was a bonus, as they were able to be let out unsupervised. The kids loved exploring and playing hide and seek and even us adults had a game, which was funnier than I ever remember especially the panic of hiding under a bunk bed and realising that you are 40 and might not be able to get out! We had a lovely walk on Sunday, up the road that runs along the side of the house to find the mermaid pool - no such luck, but none the less, a lovely circular walk in the brisk autumn weather. We visited Buxton town and Poole Cavern - which wasn't particularly brilliant - mainly because we had to take the kids away from the pool table and so they weren't happy to start with, but interesting none-the-less. We would definitely like to come back again. No complaints from any guest.

Lovely place to relax with family and friends. Buxton is only 10 minutes down the road if you want to venture out and do a bit of shopping and stock up. We went to the Knights Table pub which is a few minutes walk up the road very friendly and could highly recommend the Sunday lunch and very reasonably priced. The lodge itself provided us with plenty to do from table tennis and a pool table for the lads karaoke at night and plenty of games for the children. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and a superb dining area. All in all a great time was had by us all. Thank you.
